Travis J. Weigel, owner/funeral director, is a life-long resident of Swanton. He attended St. Richard Elementary School and is a graduate of Swanton High School. Travis attended Bowling Green State University and graduated from The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of Ohio and a mortuary science licensee in the state of Michigan. Travis is the son of Kent and Nancy Weigel, both life long residents of Swanton as well. Travis is the grandson of the late Maurice and Ivah Weigel and Albert and Beulah Gillen. Travis, along with his wife, Susan and children, Eva, Trent, and Lucy reside in Swanton.
The funeral home staff includes Travis’ mother, Nancy Weigel, and Angie Webert, who is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
Our exclusive AfterCare program is conducted by Donna Stutzman, a licensed social worker and licensed pastoral counselor. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and Andersonville Theological Seminary. She has worked in several human service agencies, and most recently, as hospice chaplain. We want every family to know that our services continue beyond the day of the funeral. We believe that a well established AfterCare program is an important service to offer our families and the communities we serve. Donna is available for follow up care for the days and months following the service.
