A native Quebec company with good people from our region! Ubald Lalime has been around for over 75 years. This funeral business remains the property of Quebec entrepreneurs for almost 40 years. Mr. Yvon Marcil, after a busy life and still active within the company, has decided to pass the torch to his son Anthony, who is chairman.
“My grandfather Victor Marcil was a pioneer in the funeral field” declared his grandson Anthony. It all started in the municipalities of Upton, Ste-Hélène and St-Valérien where in the latter, he rented a private residence for exhibition purposes. You should know that at that time, the funeral director generally provided ambulance transport.
This passion, he passed it on to his son Yvon who acquired Residences funéraires Ubald Lalime in 1976. Since then, Yvon Marcil has grown the business with the purchase of several salons and subsequently build the Lalime Mausoleum in 2000 on Girouard Street in St-Hyacinthe. The family values handed down from generation to generation continue to this day to be conveyed by the Marcil family.
Even today, Anthony Marcil makes a point of ensuring the sustainability of the company, while putting into practice the values transmitted by his family. He ensures that his staff provide support and care for all families who need to be supported in these times of great pain.
