The Funeral Cooperative St. Hyacinthe was founded on 1 st May 1980 following a holding organization meeting on December 11, 1979. The beginnings were modest, we occupied a small rented space where accompanied by 4 to 10 families per year.
A first relocation in the St-Joseph district, in the former premises of the food cooperative, allowed the funeral cooperative to offer services from the mid-1980s.
In 2004, to continue its development, a return to the Douville district took place at 5205, boulevard Laurier W., in rented premises. We were to support up to 30 families annually.
In 2010, following the considerable increase in the number of funerals, the facilities no longer being able to meet demand, the cooperative acquired a Desjardins Group service center located at 5325, boulevard Laurier O. in the Douville district.
We are very proud today of this beautiful building which allows us to offer a range of funeral services, with two exhibition rooms, a reception hall, a chapel, a columbarium as well as premises and conference rooms. The positive reviews confirm how much this place is loved, for everyone, members and non-members alike, in one place.
