Our Founder Doug Friesen was born and raised in Grande Prairie. During his experience as a Funeral Director, he became increasingly aware of the changing needs and expectations of the Peace Country and its families. With a commitment to a high standard of care of individuals, families, and the community as a whole, he and his wife Eunice founded Bear Creek Funeral Home.
We have set out to provide a genuine, family-centered funeral service option for families seeking compassionate and personal service with exceptional value. This vision remains as Bear Creek Funeral Home has expanded to Fairview to better serve the north Peace Country.
