Nursing Home: When a death occurs at a nursing home, we must be called immediately. Nursing homes do not have holding facilities like hospitals which means that the deceased must be taken into our care promptly for their own dignity and the health of other residents.
Home: When a death occurs in a private residence, your first call should be to the police. They will contact the coroner who will pronounce the death. After this has happened, we can make arrangements to take your loved one into our care and prepare for funeral services.
