With 40 years’ experience in funeral and cremation services in several parts of the world, I have been a Licensed Funeral Director in British Columbia for the last three decades and have worked for several funeral homes in the Greater Vancouver area.
Having had enough of the typical funeral home attitude, with their self-serving sales pitch and ‘bottom-line’ philosophy, low pay despite their exorbitant mark-ups, and unpleasant, selfish, greedy owners, I started A Basic Cremation as a sole proprietorship in 2005 to offer something people want and at a reasonable price.
We Incorporated in January 2013 to become A Basic Cremation Inc.
